Pretty In Pink Polish Auction

Pretty In Pink Polish Auction
For the month of October I have decided to put together a nail polish auction (with the help of some great ladies!) with all proceeds to go to the Look Good...Feel Better foundation. And as you can tell they are all PINK! How fun. I am very excited to be able to donate to this foundation. It is about helping women feel better about themselves while going through chemotherapy. Please, please, please look through the polishes and place a bid! It will be going to a great cause. Getting a great polish could help boost someone else's self-esteem, while probably boosting yours as well! Doesn't that sound good to you?

Check out the Look Good...Feel Better website

How Do You Wear Your PINK?

THIS IS HOW I WEAR MY PINK! :)
As we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this is how I plan to show my support! Pink happens to be one of my favorite polish colors, so I don't mind at all sporting it this month.

The important facts:
Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. In 2012, it is estimated that there will be 226,870 new cases of invasive breast cancer, 63,300 new cases of in situ breast cancer, and 39,510 deaths of women due to this cancer.
Not only are women affected by breast cancer but men as well. It is estimated that there will be 2,190 new cases of breast cancer in men in 2012.
As mammography screening rates have increased, more cases of breast cancer have been found at earlier stages, when they are most easily and successfully treated.

These facts and more can be found here
Click here to find the the warning signs of breast cancer.

What can you do to help?: Visit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure website to donate!

The pretty facts:
I am wearing Wet N Wild Lavender Creme and French White Creme in this french tip/polka dot mani. I have to say its one of my favorites! I'm still a newbie to the nail polish world so this was my first attempt with using the dotting tool. I plan on practicing alot more, especially on the dreaded left hand!

I would love to know how you wear your pink! Please share with me :)

P.S. Please continue to stay tuned for the Pretty in Pink Polish auction. Somethings have come up so it had to be pushed back some, but I am working out the details as I type. Please come back to bid on some pretties. You know you want to ;) I will publish the auction as soon as possible!

Nails, Food, and a Good Cause!

Create-A-Pepper to fight Childhood Cancer. Make a difference!
Chili's has been supporting St. Jude's  Research hospital, and has a day were all the profits go directly to the hospital! This year it was on September 24, and I have made it a point to go each year. Who doesn't like eating for a good cause?
There were other ways to donate as well like Create-A-Pepper, buying a t-shirt, or zipper pull. We bought 2 zipper pulls to color, and show our support! :) And of course I had to show my awareness by wearing my gold inspired mani!
The important facts:
St. Jude's Research Hospital is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.
The daily operating cost for St. Jude is $1.8 million, which is primarily covered by public contributions.
By supporting St. Jude, you are helping continue the lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. So every little bit helps!
What can you do to help?: Visit http://www.stjude.org/waystohelp or http://www.createapepper.com/
Chili's has donated $ 4,195,080 to date in 2012 with the help of people like you! So please take the time to check these websites out to help children, and their families receive the care they need :)
The pretty facts:
For this special day I am wearing NYC-Enchanted (an off-white with gold glitter), and China Glaze Crackle-Cracked Medallion as an accent nail.
Do you want to show your awareness for Childhood Cancer? Well you can by entering my giveaway! One lucky winner will get a brand new Butter London Wallis :)

I am going to be holding a silent auction were all the profit goes to a special foundation. I have teamed up with some special ladies that are helping me gather all the polish as we speak. Childhood Cancer Awareness: Go Gold!

As my first blog post I decided to show some awareness for Childhood Cancer. I plan on featuring two things dear to my heart, bringing awareness and nail polish. Who would think the two went together? Well, I think the two will go together perfectly! Please follow my blog, find out awareness information and see pretty polish. Lets make bringing awareness to not so fun stuff, fun by showing support!

The important facts about Childhood Cancer:
Each year approximetly 13,400 children are diagnosed with cancer. It is the most common cause of death in children in the United States.
The most common childhood cancers are leukemia, brain, and other nervous system tumors.
What can you do to help?:
Visit sites like: American Childhood Cancer Organization (www.acco.org) and make a donation to help with research, and families that are going through the fight.
The pretty facts:
To show my support I am wearing Essie "Good as Gold" and Orly "Sashay My Way".
Watch out for my giveway so that you can show your support also!
